On 22 October 2024, I was invited back to the musicology department at Stockholm University to present a lecture on the music in fantasy films on the new course with the same theme. I talked about the films Pan’s Labyrinth and The Shape of Water by Guillermo del Toro, the role of lullabies as political resistance, and music as transgressing the liminal space between fantasy and reality.
